    BooksForABuck.com Newsletter--February, 2009

    News and Events

    • Welcome to the February edition of the BooksForABuck.com newsletter. Some of you have noticed we're a bit behind on new books. Good news--we've got a whole slew of new books lined up over the next couple of months. In the meantime, we've been working hard to make the BooksForABuck.com website better for you. Some of the tings we're doing:
      • Improved eReader/Palm Reader formatting. The conversion tool we were using substituted question marks for smart quotes in some of our publications. We've upgraded our conversion tool and you should see both smaller files and improved readability.
      • Additional formats. We'll be adding our new formats to some of our older books. Remember--if you're interested in any of our books, let us know and we'll prioritize the conversion process. Supported formats are: HTML, Adobe Acrobat PDF, eReader/Palm Reader, Mobipocket, Sony Reader LRF, ePub, and Microsoft Reader.
      • Faster page loading. We're upgrading our PayPal code, eliminating the bulky encrypted code and replacing it with PayPal-hosted code. As a result, our pages should load faster--so you can spend more time reading and less waiting.
    • Economic Stimulus--with today's weak economy, it's important to make sure you get maximum entertainment for your entertainment dollars. BooksForABuck.com is proud to offer some of the most affordable as well as highest quality fiction available on the web. When you're thinking about stretching your dollars, I hope you'll keep us in mind.
    • You can buy BooksForABuck.com stuff from our Cafe Press Store (no markup). (Authors, please let me know if you're interested in your own Cafe Press Store. It's free and I'll be happy to help with artwork and to link to it.)
    • If you haven't already done so, check out our videos page. Trailers, video versions, author rants, and just-for-fun entertainment.
