    BooksForABuck.com Newsletter--February, 2010

    News and Events

    • Welcome to the February edition of the BooksForABuck.com newsletter.

The big news in the eBook world is the fight between Amazon and Macmillan (with Apple on the sidelines egging them on). Amazon wants to charge $10 or less for eBooks and Macmillan wants higher prices. BooksForABuck.com is sympathetic with publishers wanting to make a living, but we're also big believers in affordable pricing. None of our books cost more than $3.99 and many are priced at only $1.00 (including every new book for its first month of availability). The other big news is the long-awaited announcement of Apple's iPad. According to Apple, the iPad will read ePub (and HTML) so you'll be able to read your BooksForABuck.com eBooks on the iPad from day one.

If you're not yet a subscriber to this monthly newsletter, follow the link on the bottom to subscribe. We send only a monthly notification so you won't be bombarded by spam and you'll stay current on new releases, author activities, special information, reviews and eBook news.

    • You can buy BooksForABuck.com stuff from our Cafe Press Store (no markup). (Authors, please let me know if you're interested in your own Cafe Press Store. It's free and I'll be happy to help with artwork and to link to it.)
