    BooksForABuck.com Newsletter--February, 2010

    News and Events

    • Welcome to the February edition of the BooksForABuck.com newsletter.

One of the advantages of running a small publishing company is that I get to publish books that I love. In the coming months, we'll be publishing a cozy mystery featuring a couple of elderly but energetic female sleuths, a pulp-fiction adventure reminiscent of Doc Savage, a thriller set in Dallas, a return to the St. Van Helsing College, and my own story of a post-literate world. I hope you like these stories as much as I have.

We're holding the line on prices this year--most of our books will continue to be priced at only $3.99, with special ($1.00) pricing during their first month of availability so be sure to check back often for the latest. I hope everyone is enjoying February--ideally with a great book on hand.

      Rob Preece, Publisher

    Coming in February:

QUIET ANCHORAGE by Ed Lynskey. Lynskey turns from hardboiled to cozy in a charming adventure set in a small town in Virginia. When their niece is accused of murder, two elderly women, both fans of detective fiction, decide it's up to them to solve the case and free their niece. Their investigation proves that the town of Quiet Anchorage is not the idyllic place it appears, but is pushing a ruthless killer into a corner really a good idea? ANCHORAGE will be priced at $3.99, but will be on sale for only $1.00 during its first month of availability. (HTML, Adobe PDF, ePub, Kindle/Mobipocket, eReader and Microsoft Reader formats).

    January's Release:

Courting Mandy by Victoria ChancellorCOURTING MANDY by Victoria Chancellor. Mandy is a small-town librarian. Sure bad-boy Case Gardner is sexy, and his Harley Davidson motorcycle gets her heart pounding almost as fast as its pistons, but she knows he's all wrong for her--will destroy her if he sweeps her into his wake. She tries to dress conservatively, stay under the radar, but Case seems intent on courting her--no matter how she tries to resist. COURTING MANDY will be on sale for only $1.00 until February 18.
