    News and Events

Welcome to the November edition of the newsletter.

At a meeting of the Orange County (California) Romance Authors, I had the opportunity to hear Harlequin Editor Mary-Theresa Hussey saying that digital is where the action is in books. I've believed in digital for years and it's exciting to see the dreams of what was once a small band come to fruition. It's important to remember that innovation is driven by small companies and that's certainly been true in publishing. I'm proud to have been a part of the revolution. is a decade old--and still growing.

SECOND CONTACT: CHRONICLE OF THE SEEDS OF ORION by Kenneth E. Ingle. Following the history begun in FIRST CONTACT, Ingle traces the history of the planet New Earth as it struggles with alien civilizations and also with the resurgent Old Earth led first by a globe-dominating China. SECOND CONTACT will be available in mid-month. If you like space opera SF, you'll also be excited to hear that THIRD CONTACT is coming in December.
