Rebecca Barlow lucks into a part-time job--and discovers that her new boss is her baby's father. When her adoptive parents kicked her out of their home because of her pregnancy, Rebecca had decided to make a life for herself--on her own. She never even told Jeff Jacobs about the child they shared. When he finds out about his secret baby, he's angry--angry that he was denied those years of his life. He's never forgotten Rebecca or the love they shared. Of course, there is the little matter of Jeff's fiancee.

Rebecca has never stopped loving Jeff--and she's overjoyed that he wants to be the father her child needs and to do so much to provide for both of them. But spending time with Jeff causes problems--especially as Rebecca learns to like Jeff's fiancee. With Jeff wanting to kiss--Rebecca, she realizes that she's setting everyone up for heartbreak.

Fans of author Judy Christenberry (see more BooksForABuck.com reviews of novels by Christenberry) have been waiting to find out what happened to Rebecca and her son Joey and Christenberry delivers--along with the unexpected discovery of another member of Rebecca's family. I especially appreciated that Christenberry made Jeff's fiancee, Chelsea, likable and sympathetic--adding to Rebecca's emotional challenges and to the reader's sympathy for the situation she found herself in.

REBECCA'S LITTLE SECRET is a romp of a story with plenty of birthday cake, hunky men wanting to take care of their women, and heart-warming family.
